This is a genuine Stihl 028 AV Super Wood Boss with the Electronic Quickstop safety system. It’s one of the classic West German-made saws — built tough, smooth running, and known for lasting decades.
I had it professionally serviced about 4 years ago at a small-engine shop. I used it once afterward and it ran great. Since then it’s been sitting in my shop, stored indoors and clean.
I haven’t started it in over a year, so it’ll likely need fresh gas and a few pulls to wake it up, but this has always been a reliable, strong-cutting saw when I’ve used it.
