Guinea pigs are social animals, so they must go together.
Guinea pigs also need lots of space, two pigs should have at least 10.5 square feet to prevent fighting, and to have a more enriched life. They are pretty high management, and usually aren’t a very good first time pet for kids. They are prey animals and will take time to be less shy.
