Purchasing KUNEKUNES straight from registered lines ensures you are getting the breed qualities you desire, rather than secondhand info from questionable sources
If you’re not familiar with the breed, kunekunes are a docile, social heritage pasture loving breed that we find are a real joy to have around.
Their personalities are hard to beat, and they are easy on the land… there is nothing like seeing a cute squish face pair of pigs out happily munching in the pasture.
While some can root, we do not find it the norm in our yrs of raising them.
Their meat is dark red, and the lard renders down to a clean white, we use it for baking and tortillas!! Yum!
While we do process ours, we do also offer some for companions. Kunekunes eat quite a bit less than conventional pigs, making a pair of them just perfect for a pasture ornaments!
Basic shelter, pasture area, and a nice wallow or kiddie wading pool is all they need to be happy as a peach at your farm!
