For sale: 1977 (according to serial number) John Deere 300. I don’t have a lot of history as I bought this as a package deal. Does not have the original Kohler engine but a fairly new 14hp Onan engine and runs great. Has front hydraulic ports as well as a 38” deck. Has working headlights. Runs strong and mows decent. Missing the grass deflector chute and front deck roller. Newer deck clutch belt, new outer tie rod ends and brand-new battery. Gas tank has been flushed out. Had plans for this but it’s time for someone else to take it to the next level or use as is. Front tires are almost brand new, rear tires are decent with good tread but do show some weather checking but hold air just fine. Brand new John Deere seat, but not for this mower so it doesn’t fit quite right, it is still functional. I still have original seat but it’s in rough shape and still useable.
