The boats are so unbelievably light and made of tough aluminum, they easily slide across a parking lot, down a trail, a mountain, and goes where others can't! No maintenance required. No need to "baby" the boat, or worry about hitting the bottom, rocks, etc. Like you would with fiberglass, wood or rubber boats, pontoons, cats and canoes!! Also, no frames, rigging, or moving parts to lose or break, like with cats and inflatables. Inflatable boats (cats, pontoons) usually don't last much more than about 10 years with normal usage, don't perform as well, or hold their value.
Fiberglass, wood and other aluminum boats are simply too heavy, cost more, need maintenance and you are stuck using a trailer, requiring an area to park/store it, etc.
