Antique Victorian-era platform glider rocking chair, likely manufactured late 1800’s. Most this type were made between 1880 and 1910. It had a stationary base (platform) with a mechanism that allows the seat part to glide or rock.
Note one of the spindles on the back is broken and the piece is missing.
